Ronnie Cashmore B.A. (hons), P.G.C, P.G.D.

Born in Aston, Birmingham, Ronnie Cashmore lived in Yardley before settling in Solihull. As a youth he was offered a place at Moseley Art School but didn't take up the offer. He later spent 11 years working on the track at the old British Leyland during the political heyday of strikes and stoppages. He subsequently returned to college and obtained his degree in fine art at Coventry University, while developing a successful career as a professional artist.

Combining his interests in football and illustration he worked freelance for the Birmingham Sports Argus creating "Ronnies View" a weekly cartoon and subsequent book.

His abstract work is based loosely on landscape, exploring our subconscious desire to rediscover our spiritual and cognitive relationship with nature and the land.

Along with part time tutoring and art in the community, Ronnie is also currently working on an illustrated childrens book and runs a commercial art business specialising in murals, themed backdrops and illustration. www.cashmorecreative.co.uk
